The University Libraries have many resources for pleasure or leisure reading.  Try some of these:

  • The list of 48 Good Books was compiled by the UB Libraries and the Undergraduate Academies in 2011. We have them all.
  • The Libraries have a Pinterest page with recommendations for good reads.  There are 18 boards with suggestions for both books and films.
  • We have six Amazon Kindle e-readers for circulation.  They are pre-loaded with popular titles.  You can suggest titles to be added to the Kindles.  Learn more.
  • Lockwood Library has a popular collection of Graphic Novels in the entrance lobby. It’s perfect for browsing or search the catalog in Advanced Search mode with a limit of Format=Graphic Novels
  • Check the UB Libraries Catalog for fiction. Go to the Catalog Advanced Search. Under Format select Fiction. Then hit the Advanced Search button. Use the facets on the left to narrow your search, or adjust the Sort By option to re-order the results.
  • GoodReads provides recommendations based on books you have read and what your friends and colleagues are reading.

Happy reading!
